As IT Project Manager / Product Owner, you will lead innovative initiatives and be involved in a wide range of exciting projects in a technological and scientific environment. Drawing on its experience in project management, the ILL’s IT Service is currently transitioning to agile methods in a context of open-source technologies, mobilising the support of in-house IT teams (development, infrastructure, support), service providers and freelancers.

Your tasks
As a member of the ILL’s IT Service, you will act as the first point of contact between the Institute’s various departments, technical teams and service providers. You will play a key role in the success of IT projects at the ILL. The scope of your role will cover both the design of new tools and the enhancement of existing solutions. You will actively contribute to the technical aspects of the projects, adopting an agile and value-oriented approach. More specifically, your duties will be to:
1. Address the needs identified by your line managers:

meet with staff from the ILL departments to provide support and help them refine their requirements,

propose solutions that are in line with technical requirements, user experience expectations and ILL culture,
-
propose action plans: schedules, budgets, deliverables …
2. Manage projects:

drive ongoing projects, ensuring constant communication with ILL departments,
-
manage the activities of project service providers,
-
ensure close communication with your line managers.
3. Ensure the continuity of solutions already deployed:

participate in the drafting of documentation and deliveries in production,
-
implement and monitor project indicators,
-
ensure continuous improvement.
Your profile

You have a level 7 qualification (Master’s degree or equivalent) together with strong IT skills.

You have extensive experience in IT project management.

You have excellent interpersonal skills and adapt well to dealing with different stakeholders.

You have a keen interest in technical environments.

You understand how to harness and leverage the expertise of each individual within a shared project.
