Core mission
The Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), situated in Grenoble, France, is Europe's leading research facility for scientific research using neutrons. Every year, we host over 2000 visits by scientists, who come to the Institute to carry out world-class research.
Come and join our Electricity and Electronics Service, which is part of ILL's Reactor Division. The teams within this department are responsible for the design, upgrade, maintenance and performance testing of reactor equipment in strict compliance with the regulations in force.
Your tasks
• Definition of requirements in consultation with the operators of the equipment
• Identification of the most suitable technical solutions
• Drafting of technical specifications
• Technical project monitoring and quality control during the design, construction and commissioning phases.
Your profile
• Level 7 qualification (Master’s degree or equivalent) in electrical engineering, automation or equivalent.
• Proven experience in technical project management in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently on technical installations, as part of a structured team and within a stringent regulatory framework.
• Meticulous approach, ability to prioritise and take initiatives appropriate to the industrial context.
• Knowledge of lightning protection regulations would be an asset.
• Ability to produce clear and structured technical documentation.
• The position is based at a French basic nuclear facility (INB - installation nucléaire de base) and requires a full understanding of and strict compliance with quality and nuclear safety standards.
